Alaska
Well, so far September has been a crazy month for us here at Alexandria Brewing Company. Those of us that know us, we appreciate all of your thoughts and prayers for my beautiful and lovely wife, Ann (Orth) Reynolds. She has a pretty serious procedure coming up and things have been a little trying on our lives. I like to look at it as just one more hurdle for us to overcome one our path.
She and I just got back from, what can only be described as a, spiritual journey to Alaska. We were stayed on a remote island called Port Alsworth where we got to take in the true beauty of the outdoors. It was absolutely breathtaking and we were able to reconnect to nature through hiking, fishing, and even brown bear watching. One of the coolest things we got to do was visit Richard "Dick" Proenneke's cabin. It was great to be reminded how full life can be with less stuff. If you don't know who he is, I do recommend looking up his story.
We flew in and out of Anchorage and we were able to stop in to a couple breweries while there. At this point, I can't go into too many details, so speculate all you want. We have a collaboration or two in the works up there. Stay tuned.
Anyway, things are coming together. We have our equipment picked out and are now just deciding on a location. If you know of a place that you think will work in Alexandria, KY, please let us know. We are looking. That's what I have for now. Keep on rockin' in the world!
