Indoor Seating Closure

Hello,

By now, most of you have heard that indoor seating in restaurants and bars have been closed by Gov. Andy Beshear. Starting Friday, we will be moving to carry-out sales with limited outdoor seating and reducing our hours to the following:

Tuesday – Friday: 2-8PM

Saturday: 11-5PM

Sunday: 12-4PM

Per the Governor’s order, outside seating is still allowed. We will offer beer in plastic cups for our guests to sit outside and enjoy a beer. Unfortunately, this comes as we transition to winter. We will have our firepits going and have had several people donate propane heaters to use during this shut down, weather permitting. The Governor’s order specifies that any party may not be larger than 8 people and all people in any given party should be from the same household (we will be asking). Also, each party must maintain 6 feet of distance between another party.

If you are coming up to pick up a growler, a bottle of whiskey, a ½ gallon of one of our signature cocktails, or some of our ginger ale, we strongly encourage you to order from our website. If you are having a growler refilled, you cannot use the website to order the refill as we will not have your empty growler here to refill. We are happy to refill but you will have to do the whole transaction in person. If you are seated outside, we will have QR codes available for you to scan, taking you directly to our ordering site. We will gladly bring your beverage out to you.

As it has been from the day it was issued, the Governor’s mask order will be strictly enforced inside our taproom. You will not be permitted inside if you do not have a mask (we can provide you with one). If you are enjoying a beer outside, you are permitted to come inside to use our restroom. You are not permitted to bring your beer or food in with you and we will limit it to two people at a time.

We are working to put together a delivery service. There are a lot of considerations we must take into account before we are able to move forward with it. We hope to have a clear picture by next week. Please check our Facebook or Twitter feeds.

The last thing we want to do is discuss next week. Every year, we look forward to the Wednesday before Thanksgiving. It is a way for us to celebrate and give thanks with our larger family… The City of Alexandria, our regular guests, and our staff. We had some big plans this year, releasing as many as 4 bourbon barrel-aged beers. This mandatory shutdown will be putting some of these activities on hold. However, we do still plan do release our limited bourbon barrel-aged winter beer giftset on Black Friday. This set includes BBA Oatmeal Raisin Cookie Ale and BBA Twig & Berries Hazelnut Chocolate Cherry Stout. We are expecting an extremely limited number of these giftsets. If you miss out, we are still working to determine our draft release of these beers. Please bear with us as we work to determine the best way to release these beers on draft. Finally, we hope you have a great Thanksgiving! I know this is going to be an odd one, at least for my family. I hope to use this time to reconnect with my family, ease my kids away from their devices for a few hours a day, and remember, despite the year we all have been dealt, how much I truly have to be thankful for including all of the great people I have met since we have opened our doors, the opportunity to be living my dream, my amazing wife and our two wonderful children, and the community we are happy to call home. I hope to see you all again soon and look forward to the day we can welcome you back into our taproom.

Cheers,

Andy Reynolds

CEO / Head Brewer
